    The Baptism of Our Lord
Now when all the people were baptized, and when Jesus also had been baptized and was praying, the heaven was opened, and the Holy Spirit descended upon him in bodily form like a dove. And a voice came from heaven, "You are my Son, the Beloved; with you I am well pleased." - Luke 3:21-22 God spoke these wonderful words to his Son when Jesus was baptized. God feels the same about us when we follow our Savior's example and are baptized, too! Jesus pours out his Spirit on us (Titus 3:4-7)

    GET CLEAN
He touched my lips with it and said, "See, this coal has touched your lips. Now your guilt is removed, and your sins are forgiven."- ISAIAH 6:7 (NLT) How do you deal with the awful and unsettled sense of guilt? Have you ever felt bad about an unpleasant thought, something you did wrong or said wrong? If yes, please put your hand up. Raise it high. Wave it with me. Did you wave your hand? We all can. Because we’ve all missed the mark at times, right? Isaiah felt the same way. When God

    TIME TO RETURN HOME
“When Herod died, an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt.”- MATTHEW 2:19 What if the most powerful man in your country was your opponent? Herod, the king of Israel, heard another king was born. Was his royal position in danger? He looked for the newborn king in vain. In a dream, an angel of God had already instructed Joseph, the child’s step-father, to move to Egypt with his mother, Mary. After several years, Joseph received instruction in another dream to return to

    A CHRISTMAS TREASURE
But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. - LUKE 2:19 If you’ve ever given birth, or have been around a pregnant woman during the time she gave birth, you know that having a child is not easy. There is the physical discomfort, the tiredness, the pain, the lack of sleep… and all that comes with it up to and during the birth. I can only imagine little Mary, pregnant to her eyeballs, riding with Joseph from Nazareth to Bethlehem. It wasn’t a comfortable journey back

    GLORIFY THE KING OF KINGS
He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of His father David, and He will reign over Jacob’s descendants forever; His kingdom will never end.”- LUKE 1:32-33 Bertie never wanted to be king, perhaps because of his stammer. He was the son and brother to kings, none more loyal or braver. But because his brother abdicated the throne, he took his place as George VI. His gift for kingship shone most brightly in the crucible of the Second World

    All Things Pertaining to Life
For His divine power has given us everything required for life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and goodness.— 2 Peter 1:3 As a Christian, you have everything you need to live a holy and abundant life (2 Pet. 1:3–11). Your intelligence, your education, or your family background do not determine the holiness of your life. Everything you need to live a victorious, joyful, and abundant life is found in the Holy Spirit who resides within you (Gal. 5:22–23).

    Not Quarrelsome
The Lord’s slave must not quarrel, but must be gentle to everyone, able to teach, and patient. . . — 2 Timothy 2:24 There should be no quarrelsome Christians. The truth of God is within us; we need never be intimidated or frustrated by those who do not accept God's truth. At times people may disagree with you regarding God's Word. Perhaps they question the way you say He is leading you, or they may challenge your faith in God. At times like these it is never helpful to argue. You will never

    Press On
Brothers, I do not consider myself to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: forgetting what is behind and reaching forward to what is ahead,—Philippians 3:13 The world will tell you that the dominating influence in your life is your past. If you came from a difficult home life, that will determine the direction of your life. If your culture was treated unfairly, that will dictate the condition of your life today. If you were hurt or abused or if your youth was spent in rebellion, the

    Revival
Lord, I have heard the report about You; Lord, I stand in awe of Your deeds. Revive [Your work] in these years; make [it] known in these years. In [Your] wrath remember mercy!—Habakkuk 3:2 Only God can restore life to something that has died. If you find that your heart has grown cold to God, that the spiritual life of your family or church has waned, call out to God to revive you, for only He can give life. It is not your activity but your relationship with God that brings life! Spiritual
